During our stay in the south of England, we took a public bus from the village of Horsham to Worthing on a day when the weather was capricious. In the seaside town, we strolled along Worthing Pier to enjoy the splendid views and the typically fickle English weather to the fullest. We warmed up with a good serving of fish and chips at a restaurant near the pier.

With the sky filled with gloomy, brooding clouds, the light was spectacular.
The waves rolled on and off with such force; it was magnificent to watch the ocean so wild and brooding.

Even darker clouds were approaching from the west.
